VORTRÄGE & SEMINARE

Rechtspopulismus, Rechtsextremismus und Nationalismus sind fundamentale Herausforderungen pluraler, rechtsstaatlicher Demokratien und liberaler Gesellschaften. Ihr Aufstieg deutet auf erhebliche Repräsentations- und Gerechtigkeitsdefizite hin. Ich verstehe diese Entwicklung wesentlich als Revolte von Menschen, die sich als Verlierer von Prozessen ökonomischer Globalisierung, politischer Liberalisierung und kultureller Modernisierung sehen. Obwohl diese Revolte nicht allein ökonomisch determiniert ist, sondern auch durch kulturelle Ängste angetrieben wird, reichen Kommunikationsstrategien und Maßnahmen politischer Bildung nicht aus, solange ökonomische und soziale Unsicherheiten nicht eingehegt werden. Es gilt also, der wachsenden Desinformation und Hetze fundierte Analyse entgegenzusetzen und für die Umsetzung konstruktiver politischer Maßnahmen Bündnispartner und Mehrheiten in einer immer stärker polarisierten Gesellschaft zu gewinnen.
